Former Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Involving 38 Individuals in His Care
Legal authorities report that a former physician stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
The Serious Charges
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex police inquiry, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
The Investigation
These allegations follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is due to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the 45 sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
