Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a large-scale and ongoing assault against it by the US and Israel.

That US-Israeli operation - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted sites associated with the Iranian leadership, with President Trump encouraging the people of Iran to rise up against the leadership.

In the State of Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates said in a statement that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," it added.

Officials reported debris fell on a residential area in the capital, resulting in some property damage and the death of one civilian.

The United States Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
